Street Fighter 4 Results - Twelve Month Report

Please check back in a couple weeks for the July/August results. In the meantime, let's take a look at some SF4 character data for the 2008-2009 season.

Winningness — One Year at a Glance

Here's a look back at the tournament winningness for the SF4 cast over the past year. I used my usual calculation — three points for each time that character got first place, two points for second place and one point for third place — with some extra wrinkles this time:
a) beginner and intermediate events set aside
b) where one person used more than one character the points were split up amongst them

The actual value used in the graph is that character's winningness as a percentage of the total for that month. Now, I couldn't coax a nice looking graph out of my spreadsheet program. You can see what I came up with over here. It's a mess. In lieu of one big winningness chart here are two smaller ones with Sagat, Ryu, Fuerte, Guile and Claw set aside.

Nakano TRF Fridays

This graph shows the number of people who participated in TRF tourneys from one week to the next. The high was 51 people on October 3rd 2008, the low 18 people on January 30th 2009. The counts for 2/13 and 3/20 were missing so I fudged those numbers.

Tournament Winners

This chart shows the number of people who won one or more singles events for each character. Since it doesn't include repeats, Gootecks (Boxer), Ojisan (Sagat), Yoshio (Guile) etc. were each counted only once.
