Some long videos. Looks like it starts right at the beginning with everybody at Shodan (except MAO and Opemai who ranked up elsewhere.) Nikaiten updated the ranks with the latest Kyushu results but he hasn't added the Kansai standings yet.
Otochun, D, Gunze, MAO, Murasaki (Dictator), Opemai (Claw), Tencho

without the osd you have to constantly thinking who is playing, but i guess we should be grateful that they release it in the first place.
ReplyDeleteglad to see otochun becoming more active again. nuki's #1 chun status needs to be challenged.
cool freeze frame there on ryu
ReplyDeleteSo does this mean the Nagase UFO usual crowd has migrated over to A-cho for X from now on? Looks like A-cho is certainly getting a lot of X action judging by their youtube page. Glad to see Otochun still going hard after all these years.
ReplyDeleteA-cho is in Kyoto.
ReplyDeleteKo-hatsu is in Osaka a bit closer to where UFO was.
There are various other arcades Monte Carlo, Leebros, Neyagawa ABC, Sega Avion. Aniken broke it down over here a little while ago.

ReplyDeleteYeah... The skilled blue (jab) Chun is obviously Otochun. ShootingD is the black (jab) Ryu (Gotoh uses the same color, but the playstyle is different, e.g., no diagonal jumping strong on wake-up), Tencho is the blue (forward) Ryu, and the green (RH) Ryu, I do not know. Perhaps Nikuo?
I also do not know who the Cammy is. I do know Sasho uses the same color.
Why does D uses that diagonal strong on wake-up, a few times? I don't get it, as it misses crouching characters.
Otochun is indeed very strong. I believe he will catch on Nuki's rank if he continues with the ranking battles.
The videos are amazing, I couldn't even watch the first one till the end yet, but I will, no matter what. Thanks a bunch, NH2!
i thought turbo 3 was standard... what's with all the speed changes?
ReplyDeleteOldschool @ 1038 yeah that's who's who. Yomiaido was also using blue Ryu in the early part.

Sorry I sort of skimmed it. Vs Zangief it beats Lariat. Chun (Tenshokyaku) not sure. Dangerous to crouch when Ryu is jumping at you though.
Ok the standings page was updated
8th dan: MAO (main location Chubu)
7th dan: Otochun, Murasaki
6th: Opemai, Gunze
5th: D, Tencho, Shinnosuke Ryu
3rd: Otochun O.Ken
2nd: Dotechin Honda*, Hirata Ryu, Yomiaido Ryu
Shodan: OKURA Cammy, Nikudanshaku Dhalsim, Teppei Guile
* I had this nickname wrong the other day.
Kusumondo made it to 10th dan when he visited Versus so he's waiting for these guys to rank up.

Don't know about the changes at this particular thing but there isn't really a standard. Kasugai 50 tourneys for example have rock paper scissors for speed select.
Wow, good stuff from Murasaki. If he improved his execution (he drops a lot of combos) he would be on par with Yuu / Taira IMO.
