Notes:
I wrote their normal nicknames above, but Hakase and Tamashima are officially registered as Nidaime KKY ("KKY the second") and GOD Ooshima.
ShootingD quit Aniken's team after deciding that he was too busy with other stuff to focus on SBO. Then I guess he changed his mind, floundered a bit -- D @ Guile and Nekohashi @ N.Ryu lost first round at the a-cho Qs -- until finally getting a ticket this weekend.

Here's Soyondori, a top Tekken player from Korea, at SBO '07:link
EDIT: (what's this all about eh?)
This is just a short speech that he made. I thought what he said was extremely classy and I wanted to share it with snf2x readers. Getting the translation to match the video proved awkward -- better english if the first and second parts of the sentence were switched.
I wonder where are some people such as daigo, yaya, mattsun, pony, mayakon. Did they retire?
ReplyDeleteAs far as I can tell:
ReplyDeleteI think Daigo and yaya (@ Guile) participated in the club sega 5on in May. Otherwise yeah pretty much.
Mattsun: no
Pony: no
Mayakon: yes
If there's a pre-sbo 3on3 at Mikado it's a safe bet that Mattsun, Pony and Tsunoppi will team up like usual.

ReplyDeleteThanks atthegates! Just FYI, the Chun/Boxer team is Chinese (5/1 qualifier), so I guess you could split that off too.
ReplyDeleteThat means Otochun & Nuki are the only two Japanese guys using her...kind of surprising.
When and where does the last chance qualifier go down? Any inside info as to who might try to qualify?
ReplyDeletere: Chun
ReplyDeleteNot for lack of trying on Prince's part...
I think last chance is August 15th at Differ Ariake (the main event.) Got no special information. Prince-Akashachi, Namiken-Oonishi, Head press-Aniki those are the strongest un-q'ed teams above. Hopefully they'll give it a shot.
Mattsun-Shogatsu would be a cool surprise team.
